The album cover artwork for Def Leppard’s “Retroactive” project — a compilation album by the band, released in 1993. The album features tweaked versions of B-sides and previously unreleased tracks from the band's recording sessions from 1984 to 1993. Because of the aspect of “reflecting” … I wanted to render (photographically) the time-honored optical illusion from the turn-of-the-century illustration “All Is Vanity” by Charles Allan Gilbert.

This giclée is printed with 13 LUCIA PRO archival pigment inks and a Chroma Optimizer.

The inks are created to last a century under normal display conditions (not in direct sunlight).

The paper is Premium Archival Matte Paper, museum grade and acid-free for high-quality fine art reproductions. All prints include a Certificate Of Authenticity from Hugh Syme Studio.
